Event Recap: What Happened
The September 2026 GO Pass ran from Tuesday, September 8, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. to Tuesday, October 6, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. local time. The free pass was added to every account automatically. Rewards you had unlocked but not claimed expired on Thursday, October 8, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. local time. From Saturday, October 3 at 12:00 a.m. to Sunday, October 4 at 11:59 p.m., there was no daily limit on GO Points.
Prices in US dollars (or the local equivalent) were $7.99 for GO Pass Deluxe and $9.99 for Deluxe + 10 Ranks, which also granted enough GO Points to reach Rank 11. Upgrading later still unlocked rewards from ranks you had already reached.

Other free rewards included a Lucky Egg, a Premium Battle Pass and one Rare Candy XL. Deluxe added more Rare Candy XL, a Super Incubator and extra encounters. The exact rank for each of these came from Leek Duck’s breakdown rather than the official post, which lists the headline rewards without most rank numbers.
How points worked
You earned GO Points by completing Pass Tasks, and each rank needed 100 points, according to Leek Duck. Its listing included a daily task (catch 15 Pokémon for 200 points), weekly tasks such as catching 75 Pokémon (200 points) or winning a raid (150 points), and up to 250 extra daily points from raids, hatches and catches. The official post does not list per-task points, so treat these numbers as one source’s reading.
The Timed Incubator is the item with the strictest deadline: it expires on Tuesday, October 13, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. local time no matter when you earned it. An Egg still inside moves to a single-use Incubator so it can finish hatching.
What To Do Now That It Has Ended
- Check your bag and the Timed Incubator. If you reached Deluxe Rank 20, use the Timed Incubator for every Egg until its October 13 expiry. See our Egg guide for distances.
- Power up your Latios. Latios Candy and Candy XL were paid out at the top ranks. Use the CP calculator, Stardust calculator and candy calculator to plan costs.
- Check it for shiny status and IVs. Our IV guide explains what the numbers mean.
- Use Candy XL where it counts. Candy XL is the candy that powers Pokémon up past level 40, per Bulbapedia. Decide which Pokémon deserve it before spending.
- Remember what does not carry over. The perks tied to a rank (Gift limits, Incense duration, Egg rewards) were part of that month’s pass. The official page does not say whether leftover GO Points carry into the next pass, so do not count on it.
Will It Return?
The GO Pass is a recurring monthly format, and each one has had its own headline reward. The previous pass, GO Pass: August, ran from August 4 to September 8, 2026 and featured Latias. The next pass, GO Pass: October, runs from October 6 to November 3, 2026 and features Kyogre. We have not found an announcement that Latios will return as a GO Pass reward. Niantic announces these on its own schedule, so check the October 2026 events calendar for current offers.
