Trainers automatically received the August 2026 GO Pass on Tuesday, August 4 at 10:00 a.m. local time — the third and final GO Pass of the current Forever Forward season. It carries the usual free and paid Deluxe tracks, milestone rewards for ranking up, and one especially useful bonus window timed to line up with September’s biggest event. Here’s everything confirmed so far.

Free track rewards
Completing Pass Tasks earns GO Points, which unlock rewards as you rank up. The confirmed free-track highlights are:
- An encounter with Latias at Rank 100
- Stardust
- XP
- Max Particles
Niantic’s own page notes the full rewards list was still being finalized at announcement time, so expect additional smaller rewards to fill in the ranks below 100 as the month goes on.
GO Pass Deluxe
The paid Deluxe track — available through the Pokémon GO Web Store — layers additional rewards on top of everything in the free track (Deluxe owners get both simultaneously). Confirmed Deluxe-exclusive rewards include a Lucky Trinket and additional Pokémon encounters beyond Latias. Buying the GO Pass Deluxe: August + 10 Ranks bundle through the web store also comes with a gift-with-purchase of 10 Ultra Balls, five Max Revives, one Premium Battle Pass, and five Max Potions, while the web-exclusive Ultra Box variant doubles most of that: 20 Ultra Balls, 10 Max Revives, 10 Max Potions, and five Premium Battle Passes.
Major milestone rewards (free track)
Tier 1 – Rank 1: one additional Candy when trading Pokémon, plus a guaranteed Candy XL from trades for Trainers level 31 and above.
Tier 2 – Rank 25: open up to 40 gifts per day, receive up to 125 gifts per day from PokéStops and Gyms, and hold 10 extra gifts in your item bag.
Tier 3 – Rank 50: double the duration of Daily Adventure Incense.
Tier 4 – Rank 75: increased Stardust and XP from hatching Eggs.
Major milestone rewards (Deluxe track)
Upgrading to Deluxe strengthens the Rank 25 gifting milestone specifically: up to 50 gifts opened per day, up to 150 received from spinning Pokéstops and Gyms, and 20 extra gift slots in your bag — a meaningful upgrade over the free track’s numbers if you’re an active gifter or rely on gifts for Egg hatching.
Why the no-limit weekend matters
The September 5-6 no-daily-limit window isn’t a coincidence — it’s deliberately timed to Mega Finale, the last GO Fest event of the year. Under normal circumstances, GO Points earned per day are capped, meaning a single marathon session can’t out-earn a full week of casual play. Removing that cap for the Mega Finale weekend means trainers who go all-in on the two-day event can meaningfully close a rank gap they might have fallen behind on earlier in the season, rather than being stuck at whatever pace their daily cap allowed. If you’re a few ranks short of Latias or a Deluxe milestone heading into September, this is the weekend to catch up.
How this connects to Forever Forward’s weekly bonuses
GO Pass ranking runs alongside — not instead of — the season’s existing weekly bonus structure, including the increased GO Battle League set limit on Thursdays covered in our Spotlight Hour schedule. Battling on GO Battle Thursdays still counts toward GO Points the same as any other Pass Task, so stacking your PvP sessions on the day the format already rewards Stardust bonuses is an efficient way to make progress on both systems at once.
Is Deluxe worth the upgrade?
If Latias is the only reward you care about, the free track already gets you there at Rank 100 without spending anything. Deluxe mainly earns its cost back for trainers who gift heavily (the expanded Rank 25 gifting caps are the single biggest practical difference) or who want the Lucky Trinket and its extra encounters regardless of cost. Casual players who don’t expect to hit Rank 100 anyway will get more value from skipping Deluxe and simply playing toward whatever milestones they naturally reach.
This is the last GO Pass of the Forever Forward season, with the season itself wrapping up September 8 — the same day GO Pass ranking closes. Expect a new season, and a fresh GO Pass structure, to follow shortly after, likely alongside its own themed encounter and milestone lineup the way each previous seasonal transition has worked.
Quick checklist before September 10
- Confirm you’ve claimed every milestone reward you’ve already unlocked — rewards sitting unclaimed in the Pass menu still expire on the September 10 cutoff even if you earned them weeks earlier.
- If you’re close to Rank 100, prioritize Pass Tasks over unrelated grinding in the final week; a few extra tasks can be the difference between getting the Latias encounter and missing it by a handful of GO Points.
- Deluxe owners should double-check the Lucky Trinket and bonus encounters have actually been claimed, not just unlocked — unlocking a reward and claiming it are separate steps in the Pass interface.
